Every day presents a new set of challenges for individuals to face in a world growing chaotic. These challenges can and do impact the lives of people on a mental, physical, emotional and spiritual level. Even meeting the most basic of needs has become difficult with a limitation of resources and access within communities globally.
According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, patience, is defined, as the ability to remain calm in difficult situation, doing tasks or. around annoying persons. As human beings we do not come into the world with patience. Patience therefore is skill that needs to be developed over time.
Cultivating patience in difficult situations, learning new tasks or when dealing with a annoying person or people is handled differently. A person facing difficult situations may seek professional counseling, spiritual guidance or engage in prayer/meditation as away to cultivate patience. Learning new tasks sometimes requires lots of practice and often help from a Teacher and or Mentor.
Dealing with annoying people is a gray area however. You can choose to walk away or find a practical way (engaging in social activity or discussion) of how to get along that is satisfying on your own part even if the other person(s) still decide to continue in problematic behavior.
Through it all, as individuals, we gain experience in finding life’s balance while gaining knowledge of self and the world.
