Fall Dinner Meal For Family of 6 Under $25

Eating out can be very costly, not extremely healthy and does not take the place of  preparing and

cooking a delicious meal at home that your family will love. Even though food prices at the Grocers

can run high it is always the better and preferred choice for working and or busy families. Mine is no

exception.


Baked Chicken with Roasted Vegetables

Whole Chicken-$7.17

2 Large Fresh Carrots- 1.50

2 Heads of Broccoli- $1.05

4 Red Potatoes- $2.50

1/4 Squash- $1.07

Preheat oven to 350. Rinse and towel pat Chicken. Season with herbs and spices such as paprika black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, chicken seasoning, parsley) to your liking, place in baking pan with cut vegetables(your choice or examples above), cover and bake 2.5 hours. Uncover and brown 25 minutes. Let cool 15 minutes.

Oven Baked Mac and Cheese

1 box Elbow Macaroni- $1.99

2 bags Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese- $6.58 or $3.29 each

Preheat oven to 350. Cook macaroni according to instructions on box. Drain. Place noodles in pan or dish. Add butter, salt, black pepper, milk and cheese. Mix together well. Cover and bake for 1.5 hours until cheese is well melted. Let cool 15 minutes.

A really nice desert would be Apple pie and Vanilla Ice Cream.
