Panko Chicken Tenders²

Dip chicken in flour

I had a taste for crispy, seasoned fried chicken so decided to go with cooking tenderloins purchased from Amazon Fresh. The one pound plus pack of tenders at around $5.49, came with enough to feed at least two people. Here is my version of panko fried tenders.

Ingredients for Chicken Tenders

Egging the chicken

Seasoning- black pepper, cayenne, paprika, onion and garlic powder, chicken seasoning (11/2 to 2 tsp each).

Panko bread crumbs (1 cup +more if needed)

1 brown egg

Flour ( 1/2 cup + more if needed)

Plan

Rinse chicken with lemon and water. Pat dry.

Add brown egg, panko and flour to three separate containers. Add seasoning to container with panko.

Panko-season mixture

Dip each tender in flour first, shaking off excess. Then place each tender in egg coating both sides. Next add each tender to the panko/season mixture. Place in pan of heated canola oil and fry. Drain on paper towel.

I served my tenders with red potatoes and seasoned vegetables.
