Update- Still going strong by the grace and mercy of God.
Its been 10 years since I had a stroke. My new life took a lot to get adjusted to in the early stages. But through lots of hard work, determination, extensive therapy, support from family/friends and wonderful doctors, I have been able to push through.
The greatest thing that has happened with this experience is an increase in faith and a desire to keep pressing forward despite the unknown. I have had my share of ups and downs, but when my good days outweigh the bad ones, there is still peace to be found.
Please remember to take care of your mind and body. Give love, share love and allow love to comfort your heart.
