As a perfect way to celebrate Fall and to beat the retrograde blues, I decided to pull out the donut pans to create the most delicious sugar and spice donuts.
Ingredients and Plan-
Preheat oven for 350
Combine all dry ingredients together. Then. wet ingredients in a separate bowl. Add wet ingredients to dry and mix well.
Dry Wet
1 cup organic flour. 1large brown egg
1tsp baking powder. 1/4 c almond milk
1/4 tsp baking soda. 1/4 c sour cream
1/2 tsp salt. 2 tbsp melted butter
1/2 tsp cinnamon. 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/3 cup brown sugar
Topping-
1 cup granulated sugar
1tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup melted butter
Dip each donut into melted butter, then cinnamon- sugar, dusting off extra.
Use non stick spray and grease donut pan. Spoon in batter and bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes. Let cool for ten minutes before popping out and adding topping.
